Who is responsible
Luck Cartographer ("we") operates luckcartographer.com and acts as the data controller for the site under UK GDPR. Questions about anything on this page go to hello@luckcartographer.com.
What we collect, and when
- Visit statistics — only if you accept cookies. If you press "Accept" on our banner, we count page views in aggregate to learn which reviews get read. Decline, and no analytics cookie is set; the site works identically either way.
- Email you send us. Writing to our addresses shares whatever you put in the message, plus your email address. We use it to reply and keep it no longer than two years.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and error diagnosis, retained briefly and automatically.
That's the complete list. We have no registration, no payments, no newsletters and no embedded social widgets watching you scroll.
What happens when you click an operator link
Buttons marked as sponsored carry a tracking reference so the operator knows the visit came from us — that's how commission works. Once you land on the operator's site, their privacy policy governs everything from that point, including any account you open. We receive aggregate reporting from affiliate programmes (numbers of sign-ups, never identities) and no operator sends us personal data about you.
What we never do
- Sell or rent any data to anyone.
- Build advertising or behavioural profiles.
- Share your correspondence with operators or anyone else, except where the law compels it.
Your rights
UK GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold — which, for most visitors, is nothing at all. Email us and we'll answer within a month. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We don't do silent edits.
